2026 Summer Reading Program

The Wayne Public Library offers summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults. Everyone is welcome! The summer reading program begins on Saturday, June 6 and ends on Friday, July 31. Be sure to have your logs completed and submitted by 5 pm on Friday, July 31. Grand Prize winners will be announced at the Finale Party on Saturday, August 1.

To sign up for summer reading, just drop by the library. Want to get started right away? Print out a tracking sheet below, start recording your reading any time from June 6 on, and just bring the sheet with you when you register in person at the library!

Children’s Summer Reading Program

The Children’s Summer Reading Program is for babies up to children entering the 5th grade in the fall. Children will keep track of the number of days they spent some time reading or listening (we recommend reading/listening for at least 20 minutes), earn prizes (including a free book), and earn entries into our grand prize drawing for one of several fantastic prizes! Plus, we have a full calendar of storytimes and other creative programs and projects for kids!

Teen Summer Reading Program

The Teen Summer Reading Program is for those who are starting grades 6-12 in the fall. Teens will keep track of the time spent reading or listening, earn prizes (including a free book), and earn entries into our grand prize drawing for one of several awesome prizes! Plus, we have a full calendar of exciting events for teens!

Adult Summer Reading Program

The Adult Summer Reading Program is for those who have graduated from high school or who are at least 18 years old. Adults will complete activities on a bingo sheet to earn a free book and entries into our grand prize drawing for one of several wonderful prizes! Plus, we are offering a variety of different events for adults, from informative presentations to book clubs to crafts!
