Library Mission Statement
The Mission of the Wayne Public Library is to partner with the community to provide life-long learning experiences.
Standard library cards can be issued to Wayne residents only. Please see the Circulation Desk to apply for your card. Anyone under the age of 18 will also need a parent or guardian with them to sign the application. Legal proof of Wayne residency (valid drivers licence or state ID) is required. If you lose your library card, please report it immediately. There is a small charge for replacement cards. Standard library cards are good for 3 years, and will expire on your birthday
Non-resident cards can be issued to patrons who reside in a community not part of The Library Network. The cost of a non-resident card is $75, which is equivalent to the annual taxes paid by a Wayne resident in support of the library. Non-resident cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase, and can only be used at the Wayne Public Library.
